Why packaging stops are different from machine-shop repairs
A packaging line usually fails on sequence, not on a cutting tool. Missed sensors, a recipe that no longer matches the HMI, a guard interlock, or a conveyor that will not handshake with the filler will idle every station downstream. Plastics conversion adds melt, temperature, and clamp faults that a CNC crash procedure does not cover.
PLC programming and troubleshooting are the first tools. Hydraulic repair follows when a sealing jaw, clamp, or press loses pressure. Preventive maintenance is scheduled around changeover and sanitation windows so the line is not opened during a production run.
